Day 1

  • Arrival in Kun Ming the early afternoon

  • Airport pickup to 5-star accommodation

  • Welcome Dinner - traditional Yun Nan cuisine

  • Wellness goodie bag for the trip

Day 2

  • Farmer’s market tour with local food expert to learn about the specialty produce in Yun Nan and the wild, foraged mushrooms!

  • Lunch: Learn to cook mushroom cuisine with local wild mushrooms from local chef and food therapist.

  • Citywalk: Kun Ming ancient town.

  • Yun Nan traditional medicine foot soak and massage experience.

  • Dinner: Mushroom Feast.

Day 3

  • Citywalk: traditional architecture of Kun Ming.

  • Lunch: seasonal “food as medicine” restaurant in Kun Ming.

  • Leave for Shangri-La by high-speed train.

  • Welcome dinner in Shangri-La featuring fresh matsutake and yak meat.

  • Stay at 5-star hotel.

Day 4

  • Wild mushroom foraging experience.

  • Mushroom hotpot lunch.

  • Tour Shangri-La local winery and enjoy tasting.

  • Farm-to-table dinner with local villagers.

  • Bonfire singing and dancing with local villagers.

Day 5

  • Tofu and soy milk making with local villagers. Pair with local organic rose jam, Tibetan er kuai, and more.

  • Tour community center built by an herbal skincare company. Learn about their products and the function of medicinal mushrooms with food therapist Zoey Gong.

  • TCM x Biodiversity class at a local TCM education center.

  • Dinner

Day 6

  • Visit the highest botanical garden in the world: Shangrila Botanical Garden and take a biodiversity course. You will receive a certificate.

  • DIY bag project with local leaves.

  • Tour local produce market and have lunch.

  • Tour around Dukezong Old Town.

  • Stay at a luxury Tibetan style condo.

  • Farewell dinner and group session before departure tomorrow.

Day 7

  • White Tower Prayer Ceremony

  • Optional experience with Tibetan traditional clothes

After that, if you decide to travel with us, we will send you payment details (paypal, venmo, wire, alipay, wechat pay, zelle) to confirm your booking. Full amount is required to secured your booking. After payment confirmation, we wil immediately start visa application (if required for your passport) and get ready to welcome you to china!

  • We do not accept refunds after payment confirmation, as our work starts immediately after. Please plan your schedule accordingly. However, if you really have to cancel, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or to another future .

  • No, our pricing includes all treatments and fee for your guide, driver, and staff. Tipping is also not common in China. You are welcome to tip if you are happy with our or others’ service, but it is not required or expected.
